Privacy Policy

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from House of Potentia, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you provide, such as your name, address, and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to help us learn about your browser and operating system. With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, promotions, and other updates.

SECTION 2 - CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific purpose only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to decline.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If, after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, or for the continued collection, use, or disclosure of your information, at any time by contacting us at info@houseofpotentia.com

SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal information if required by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services. Your data is stored securely through the platform’s data storage and databases, behind a firewall.

Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, your credit card data is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete the transaction. Afterward, your transaction data is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers we use will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide them for purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend reading their privacy policies to understand how they handle your information. Remember that some providers may be in a different jurisdiction, and your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

SECTION 6 - SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to ensure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we follow PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional industry standards.

SECTION 7 - AGE OF CONSENT

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given consent for any minor dependents to use this site.

SECTION 8 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on the website. If we make material changes, we will notify you that it has been updated.
If House of Potentia is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners to continue providing services.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

House of Potentia collects information in several ways from different parts of our website. Some information is gathered when you register to open an account. During registration, House of Potentia asks for your user name, password, e-mail address and zip code. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience. In addition to registration, we may ask you for information at other times, for example, in connection with a sweepstakes, contest or promotion sponsored by House of Potentia and/or our many partners. You choose whether to participate in such events. If you do participate, you will share certain of your information with us and/or our sponsoring partner(s). House of Potentia also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Again, your participation in such surveys is voluntary. If you contact House of Potentia to report a problem with our site or our services, we may keep a record of that correspondence. We may also gather certain information about your use of our site, such as what areas you visit and what services you access, and we may also collect information about your computer hardware and software. Wherever House of Potentia collects personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

What are cookies and how are they used?

If you choose to decline cookies, your web browser will be directed to a message suggesting that you upgrade your browser to a recommended version. You will not be able to view information on our web site if you decline cookies.

Generally, we use cookies to:

  • Remind us of who you are during your on-line session.
  • Process the items in your shopping cart.
  • Track your entries, submissions, and status in some of our sweepstakes, contests and promotions.
  • Collect IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.
HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION USED?

House of Potentia primary goal in collecting information is to provide you with personalized services, interactive communications and online shopping ease.

WHO IS COLLECTING INFORMATION?

When you are on the House of Potentia web site and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with House of Potentia alone. Some data collected during a sweepstakes, contest or promotion may be shared with a sponsoring partner. You can decide not to participate in such events if you don't want your information to be shared. Our web site also contains links to other third-party web sites. Even if a relationship may exist between such a third-party and House of Potentia, House of Potentia exercises no authority over, and does not control linked sites, so that if you click on one of these links, you will be leaving our web site and entering another web site. These linked web sites will maintain independent privacy and data collection policies and procedures, and House of Potentia assumes no responsibility or liability for these independent web sites or their particular policies and procedures. These links are provided for your convenience, and as such, you access them at your own risk. House of Potentia recommends that you carefully review the privacy and data collection policies and procedures of any linked site that you may visit, because those policies and procedures may be very different from our own.

WILL INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH 3RD PARTIES?

Generally, House of Potentia will only disclose your personal information to those service providers with whom you decide to make arrangements or purchase other services through our web site. For example, we will provide the service providers with the necessary information about you to allow them to process your transaction. We use our reasonable efforts to ensure that these parties will also protect your personal information. House of Potentia does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances: (a) to protect the security of our web site and our rights as set forth in our Terms and Conditions, (b) in response to legal process or proceedings, to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims (c) when we believe in good faith that the law requires such action, (d) to a trusted partner who works with or on behalf of House of Potentia, provided that such partner delivers to us a confidentiality agreement confirming to us that they do not have an independent right to share this information with others, or (e) in connection with a sale of our business or company.

WHAT CHOICES ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU REGARDING THE COLLECTION, USE, AND DISTRIBUTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

You have choices about how the information you have provided us may be used by us. You can direct us to have your name and address removed from our mailing list. Should you choose this option, you will not receive any future communications from either House of Potentia or our partners. You may opt-out of receiving such future communications by sending an e-mail to webmaster@House of Potentia.com, stating your request to be removed from our lists.

WHAT KINDS OF SECURITY PRECAUTIONS ARE IN PLACE TO PROTECT THE LOSS, MISUSE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR INFORMATION?

We are committed to safeguarding your information. We utilize the full range of the best security technology available, and we continually assess new technology for protecting your information. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. When you place an order online at House of Potentia, your credit card information is protected through the use of encryption technology, generally known as Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
